There is so much housing construction going on in our formerly "little" town of Wesley Chapel and it seems that the builders have forgotten the beauty trees can bring to a neighborhood. We found acres of land that had all the trees ripped out of the ground, twisted, mangled, and piled up in a huge mound to be burned. On an extremely cold Florida Sunday morning, (someone from the north would think this is an oxymoron) with truck, trailer, forklift, and chain saw in hand Royce and I salvaged all the branches we could to use for the treehouse railings.
After working the entire day, until we were about to drop, we loaded everything up to leave only to discover the brakes had went out in the truck. Have you ever tried to drive a truck pulling a trailer and a forklift 20 MPH for over 15 miles? Well, let me tell you it's not fun. And the fun didn't end there! When we finally got the truck back to our business, a car had t-boned a van and rammed it through our fence. That's why I'm only showing you the end result of our most challenging day so far. I'm sure there's more to come. Let me just say this, I wasn't a pretty site when it was over and done with.
