Planting Time

Four feet deep and wide enough for the pole to fit without collasping the sides, that's how to plant a pole tree. It took Royce and me a complete day to plant the first two poles. Post hole diggers don't work that well after the first two feet, after that it's all muscle strain. Our friend Andy came over to help with the next poles to go in the ground. Isn't he a brave soul standing in front of that forklift dangling that pole with nothing inbetween except a prayer. Not me, I put a huge pine tree between me and those first two dangling poles.
