And So This Is Easter. . . Look What We've Done

Stacey putting the railing in place. She drills a hole in the branch Ok so the pictures aren't flattering, but what can you expect when you're working up a sweat in the hot Easter sun. Yeah, you know who you are I'm talking to. Mom's not quite the expert photographer in the family, no air brushing going on here.

Then Stephaney nails the branch in placeAfter Easter dinner we decided to work on our treehouse for a little while. Stephaney and Stacey got busy putting the branches in place on the railing. Stacey drills a hole to get the nail started in the branch so it won't split, then Stephaney nails it into place.

Stacey and Misty working on the railing Our friend Misti held the next branch while Stacey uses the small drill. Next time Stacey will have to bring her pink tool belt so she can really get down to business.

Stacey hammers on the edge. Stacey's better with power tools than just the manual labor ones. She is hanging out over the edge of the stair platform hammering that branch.

Stephaney & her Dad, Royce, put a rail post into place. While Stacey and Misti are on the first level of stairs, Stephaney & Royce are putting up large tree branches that will be the corner posts on the second level stair platform.

Stacey drills the hole for the bolt that holds the post
Then Stacey uses the larger drill so the post can be bolted into place. I think she likes power tools.

Stephaney & Mom check out a branch for the platform railing. Meanwhile back on the first platform level, Stephaney holds a branch in place while Lesley marks it with a black marker to show where it needs to be cut to fit properly on the railing.

Stephaney holds the branch while Stacey plays with the power tools! Then Stacey saws off the end of the marked branch. Yeah folks it's true, Stacey's into power tools. Just remember you saw it here first.

Misty & Lesley (Mom) start on the left side railing
Misti starts putting the branches on the left stair railing. She found the perfect branch to fit.

Next branch gets drilled into place

Then Mom drills the hole and nails it into place.

Mom's gonna make it fit! She looks intent on making sure she hits the nail with that hammer. Have we got some kind of power tool that can help out here? Hey Stacey . . .
