Framing the Doorway

While I was putting the last layer of shingles on the roof Royce was busy cutting out the plywood that would frame the doorway.

He measured three times, cut once, and got it right on the first attempt.

Which is something we can't say for everything we've done on our treehouse construction

But it does make things challenging at times and always just a tad interesting.

Royce nails it!

Stained Glass Insects

I found two more interesting items to add to our decor.

I think I like these insects a lot better than the deer flies that have been biting us while we work

Tin On the Roof

Tin has to go up against the side of the treehouse and a layer of shingles to keep rain from seeping through to the inside.

After we get the tin completed we can put the last two rows of wood shingles in place.

Wooden Shingles & More

Royce is nailing the shingles on the front lower roof, while I work on the sides.

We are getting the shingles completed around the lower roof.

Seems like this roof is taking longer than the railing did or is it just my imagination.

Just the left side to finish now.

We celebrated Mea's 20th Birthday yesterday, yep, Friday, June 1st our youngest daughter turned 20. OMG where has the time gone? WOW she's getting old. . . .
