February 29th! Leap Day

Just thought I'd take a picture of "where we're at" on Leap Day.

After all, how many times in your life do you remember exactly where you were at or what you were doing on Leap Day?

Well, now I can remember

Port Hole Side

Look . . .We have Siding

The boards are all stained so all we have to do is measure and cut them to fit and nail gun them into place. One board slides over the top edge of the one beneath, lap siding. Royce alternates the board width sizes to give it a rustic look.

This part is going really fast and seems like we are getting a lot accomplished in a short amount of time.

The hard part will be cutting around the dormer windows and over the front dormer window. We will have to figure out how to complete that part without it looking botched up.

It's Meme's Birthday tomorrow, she will be 76 years young! Happy Birthday Mama!

Top Siding

Beginning of the Siding

Royce started the siding in the easiest place first. All the boards were almost the same length and all we had to do was slide each of the boards into place and nail.

On this side we didn't have any windows or dormers to cut around so it made the work go quickly.

Before we knew it we had our first wall almost completed.
